Apartment Therapy has a post on making a table out of old books. Pretty cool idea in general, but I think it's actually an even better idea for college students. I often got stuck with books for classes that couldn't be sold back to the bookstore because they were going to be using a new edition next year or whatever. Nevermind the fact that the "new edition" is probably the same book with one extra page to throw the numbering off completely. But I digress.

My point is you can take all your school books (and maybe even some leftovers from high school) and craft them into a chic table. Make an end table, a coffee table, a dining room table! Okay maybe not a dining room table...
