Room of Sir-Way-Ish !

Room of Sir-Way-Ish !

My name is Sarvesh Patil. Pronounced (Sir-way-ish) Lol.
And I’m from India.
I’m 22 and I go to Medical College, currently in 3rd Year MBBS.
I'll be starting Internship next year.

I study in Library and spend most of my time with friends in college.
For me my room is a place to have some peace.
I discovered De-cluttering and I've never gone back.
Yes, that's a reason why my room is not a mess. ;)

I give away or sell anything that is not useful, beautiful or has some memory value attached.

Here's what I’ve done.

1. Pasted a poster. That’s a Bollywood Movie poster behind the door. Heh.
It's from a recent hit move and has one of my favourite actresses on it.

2. I put a cardboard board and covered it with velvet cloth.
The cloth suits the room as it matches with the furniture.
I use the board to put up "To-Do" lists, Schedules, Exercise Routines and Notes.
There's even a small framed picture that was drawn by my girlfriend.

3. I've used glass shelves everywhere.
There are 6 glass shelves in the room. Small and Large. Hidden and in View.
I've had professional help to make the shelves.

4. I just bought the curtains as the ones I had before were brown. Which I didn't like.

5. I got cone shaped hanging white and blue lamps in the corner. It's the best thing in my room and I love it. (I lent my study table lamp to a friend. So it’s missing from the photo.)

6. The paintings are actually prints I got from Internet. Having those framed makes them look quite expensive. And if you got your own art work lying around. Get it framed and put it on the walls. It will look very cool and get you a lot of appreciation.

7. I just had the window wall coloured because white and blue are my favourite colours. I had to have them both.

8. Yes those are Harry Potter books in the glass cabinet. (Along with my other favourite books.)

9. I put Sticky-Notes on the Cupboard. Helps me remind important stuff.

10. Other things in view is a Dumbbell (I forgot to put away), Small Dustbin, Picture Frames, Mug(as a Pen Holder), etc.

I’ve put in a lot of time and effort to make it look this way.
I love my room. :)

are you renting a room in a house? or is this graduate student housing at your school?
The room is VERY generously spaced; the modern lines of glass shelves and geometric designs everywhere is beautiful. Your de cluttering is very effective; your room is stunning. Now if only all first year dorm rooms were as large, or were allowed to be modified, as much as yours. :)
