Dear American DormDelicious Readers,
Although I would wager that Obama kept a swankier dorm room in his college days, in the context of this site there is not much I can argue to you about either candidate and which way you should vote.
What I can say is that regardless of who it is for, you must vote. I don't think that, "gee, it sure would be nice if you'd vote." I am not going to sarcastically say, "don't vote, it doesn't mean anything," and hope you do the opposite. I simply believe it is your duty as a citizen of the United States. Voter turnout in America is consistently dismal compared to nearly every other democracy in the world. I hope we will see that turn around this year, and you can help!
In addition to it being important for everyone to vote, I believe it is particularly important for college students and recent graduates to vote. There are a lot of eyes on us, as people wonder if we will deliver the turnout that has been lacking in recent years. Let's make good on our promise. We registered in record numbers, now let's vote in record numbers.
Also, remember that regardless of who wins, the world does not end on November 5th. Continue fighting for what you believe in. Change will come regardless of who is in office if enough people want it. So want it. I'll see you at the polls.
Love,
DormDelicious
